Most published evidence on this site is a historical refit: a deterministic replay of a model against data it has already seen the outcome of. Even with the overfitting correction described in the methodology, a validated model can still lose money going forward. Markets change. A model that cleared every gate can still have a losing month, or several.
Check the full distribution on the results page, not just the best one.

- It's a simulationThe options numbers shown are a deterministic Black-Scholes overlay computed from the underlying trade sequence, not a real options fill or a validated options strategy on its own.
- Total loss of premiumOptions can expire worthless. Unlike the underlying position, you can lose the entire premium you paid.
- Amplified swingsLeverage magnifies both gains and losses. A move that's a modest underlying loss can be a much larger options loss.
- Time decayAn option loses value as it approaches expiry even if the underlying doesn't move against you.
