A candidate evaluation is a search attempt. A frozen model is one round winner. Historical qualification is a simulation on a locked holdout. Promotion-grade evidence is what happens after freezing, on new bars. Those are four different things.

Zero mature rankings does not mean the frozen models have zero return. It means the forward duration, paired periods, trade count and active exposure have not all matured. We use null for claims that are not defined yet.
